The Santo Estevão Golf Course is set in the fertile rolling landscape of the Northern Alentejo region.
Santo Estevão Golf takes advantage of the existing landscape and fully respects the environment. The result is a Course which blends in with its natural environment, with the golden tones of the natural grasses retained in the rough areas enhanced by brightly coloured spring flowers.
With well-designed, strategically placed bunkers and greens, the Course offers a layout that will challenge golfers of all abilities and the gently undulating land makes for an easy pleasant walk.
Conditions around the greens allow players to choose the best recovery shot, from low chip and runs to high pitches. The first hole quietly and easily introduces the golfer to the Santo Estevao golf course. However, by the 8th hole the player will find that the game has changed introducing more skill with teasing greens. The 11th hole, Par 4, with an outstanding view of the largest lake, is the most attractive on the course and at the same time the most challenging to play well.
Other notable holes are the 3rd with its drive over the first lake of the Course, the 7th, where the second shot is over the second lake and the 17th, a long and demanding par 4.
The Santo Estevao Golf course opened in 2004 and was designed by Donald Steel.
