Belas Clube de Campo

Based in Belas, Portugal

Belas Clube is a championship golf course located just 15km from Lisbon airport. The layout is extraordinary, with several fairways and greens set in deep valleys.  It offers stunning panoramic views of the local scenery. With its variety of holes, the course is a pleasure to play whatever your handicap. It demands both skill and practical play and is acknowledge both locally and internationally as one of Portugal’s best constructed layouts.

At Belas Clube Golf Course there are two holes notable for their beauty and their challenging qualities. The 2nd hole, a Par 5 called ‘Augusta’ was built in homage to the 13th hole of the famous golf course where the masters tournament takes place. Hole 18, a memorable Par 4 finisher was christened ‘The Big Hole’ because of the second stroke players must make some 180 metres fro the green, which is well protected by a lake.

The Belas Clube course opened in 1997 and was designed by William ‘Rocky’ Roquemore.
