The Las Ramblas Golf Course was built imaginatively and bravely into a beautiful landscape. The greens are large and generous with quick and gentle slopes. It has a complicated layout that rambles through humps, hillocks, deep ravines and icky canyons with lots of trees and a lake. Coupled with small greens this Course is an enjoyable test for all handicaps - the trick is to think - think about your shots carefully, accuracy is important.
Feature holes include the two testing Par 5’s on holes 3 and 4, the only Par 3 on the front 9 at the all-carry 6th - where a gorge runs along the right side of the hole - and the demanding doglegged 7th hole, which is routed across a deep ravine before turning sharply right to an elevated green. The 192m 12th is another tough, all-carry hole, played from a raised tee to a plateau green. By comparison, the Par 3 14th is 50 metres shorter but its just as tough, with another gully fronting the putting surface. The Par 5 18th returns you back to the clubhouse, doglegging slightly left and uphill to the home green.
The Las Ramblas Golf Course opened in 1991 and was designed by Jose ‘Pepe’ Gancedo.
