Nuevo Portil Golf
The Nuevo Portil Golf Course is located within an area full of natural vegetation and close to the sea. The Course winds through the Nuevo Portil village and it is necessary to cross village roads seven or eight times. The road-crossing is a slight pain (although little traffic) and the properties are pretty close to the tees on holes two to four but they never intrude on the excellent fairways or anywhere near the greens – or indeed on the tees after the fourth. Most of these holes are interesting enough to distract you from the surrounding houses.
The gentle slopes make it an enjoyable course to walk.
There is a great opening hole, quick greens, several dog-legs, wide lanes, pleasant fairways and a good variety of holes.
The views are stunning and combine the never-ending sand dune beaches, the Atlantic Ocean and the pine tree filled woods.
The Nuevo Portil Golf course opened in 2001 and was designed by Alfonso Vidador.
