The Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course features gently undulating fairways which run alongside a nature reserve before leading gently down to the shores of the Atlantic. It is mainly a parkland Course with 5 links style holes around the coastline. There are strategically placed Cork and Eucalyptus trees and a few water hazards on the front 9. A buggy is recommended.

It’s emblematic holes are two challenging and spectacular Par 4’s, the 11th and the 14th - which treats golfers to some of the most spectacular views in the Algarve - and the Par 3 15th, which runs alongside the beach.

 

The Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course opened in 1995 and was designed by Sir Henry Cotton. It comprises of the two original 9 hole Courses which were opened in 1968 and 1972.

Facilities; Located at the Parque do Golfe complex in the heart of the Resort is the Clubhouse which offers a full complement of services including the Vale do Lobo Golf reception, a branch of Nevada Bob’s, a fully equipped Fitness Centre with a physiotherapist specialising in golf injuries and Spike’s Restaurant and bar whose terrace overlooks a pretty putting green making it an environment that both golfers and non-golfers can enjoy from breakfast to late night. 

The Vale do Lobo Golf Academy and practice faculties has two distinct areas. A netted area for the instruction of beginner golfers which is also used as a warm up area for golfers. The second area is a short game practice area with bunkers. There is also a putting green and a driving range.
