The Quinta do Lago South Golf Course is one of 3 top award-winning Courses at the Quinta do Lago Resort. The Quinta do Lago Resort is an exclusive golf and residential estate nestling in nearly 2000 acres of verdant countryside and pine forests bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
The South Course can favour the long hitter, but requires the player to pick a particulate route to score well - each hole has one easy route, the designers intended route, if found you could produce low figures. Holes 3, 15 and 17 feature lakes which must be negotiated. The Course is an enjoyable experience for players of all standards.
A stunning parkland Course set amongst umbrella pines, lakes and wild flowers, overlooking the serene Ria Formosa National park. It is a Championship Course but that shouldn’t deter the amateur golfer. Whilst holes 8, 15 and 18 are testing holes for low handicap players, the courses’s varying difficulty challenges golfers of all levels and abilities.
The Quinta do Lago South Golf Course opened in 1974 and was designed by William Mitchell.
