Quinta de Cima
Based in the Algarve, Portugal
Situated in the Eastern Coast, the Quinta da Ria Resort is perfectly integrated in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, the most significant Eco-system in the Algarve, comprising of a line of barrier Islands along the coast, making this protected wet-land a rich nature habitat for numerous biological species.
The naturally beautiful Quinta da Cima Course is a Championship Course with wide fairways, well placed bunkers and several lakes and streams which call for some precision. The water hazards and long fairways require good club selection, challenging even the most experienced players.
The opening Par 5 is a gentle start to the round, but the Course will become tougher as the round progresses, with dog-legs to the right and left and undulating greens which are well protected by large sandy bunkers and lakes. There are also several natural creeks running through the Course that increase its difficulty. There are many ancient Carob and Olive trees throughout the Course which add mac certain character to the layout.
The Quinta de Cima course opened in 2002 and was designed by Rocky Roquemore.
